Tooman Modiri School
A joint Doostan-Benefactor Project. Building work is almost completed. Awaiting the final funding from
Ministry of Education.
This school was operational in December 2013 and the official opening ceremony was in April 2014.
Funded by donations from SOAS- IMEI and Doostan Manchester, this pre-fabricated unit is ideal for smaller
villages and in this case where it was to support the areas hit by the recent earth quake.

This is a 9 class school dedicated to the visually impaired children and is expected to be the largest such
school in the Middle East. It includes a library and Science Labs. Doostan contribution is circa £130,000. The
school is expected to open in 2020.
This is a school rebuilding project after the damage to Adan School which was Sar-e Pol-e Zahab’s largest school. The work is progressing well and is expected to be ready for operation by the next academic year in September 2019.
